a little more calm

Ok so work was still work today and still overwhelming and stressful. But this evening...much more relaxing than the past few! Mikenna and I got home from Charlotte a little after 5:30 and visited with Mike for a few minutes then headed to a tee-ball game while he worked in the yard! And yes it was very relaxing! We came home and watched our man in the yard, then came in. She played in her jungle and I sat. But not for long my little lady got fussy so I gave her a bath she swung for a while and napped and we rocked for a while until she instantly became famished!!! I just fed her, and we talked to her daddy through the window (he's almost finished working outside). Now it's her bedtime, Mike will get up with her tonight, I'll take her to Grandma's in the morning! I'm tired but its been a nice evening! and you know, the dishes and messy table will still be there for me tomorrow!!

I also watched The Land of Women during my evening of bliss...GOOD SHOW!!! Time to kiss my girl and her daddy and get ready for the night!!! Hope yours was enjoyable too:)

just a minute

Whoa, It has been an overwhelmingly busy week! In the 2 1/2 weeks that I have been back at work, I have been incredibly busy trying to get back in the swing of things and all. On top of getting use to a new normal we have a new program that we conduct our annual meetings on. We switched from paper documents to an electronic program, it's not too difficult just very different and I am just learning. I feel like I am a new girl to the group both professionally and socially. I work late each day trying to catch up and then spend time with family when I go to get my girl so when we finally do get home I want to spend time with Mike and Mikenna before doing anything else and actually do not do much else. I look forward to the weekends and LOVE the extra time with family. I especially love the morning time with my little miss! :) I enjoy being able to be lazy and can't wait to be able to do that again :)
We have had a busy weekend thus far...Last night went to San Antonio with friends; dinner and bowling, we girls got back about 12:30 the boys came in a little later. Then Mike and I went to my mom's to join 'Kenna in the guest room (didn't want to wake her to bring her home but didn't want to give up my morning with her either). When we woke up, Chad, Brittney and Bristin had just arrived. It was nice to hang out with them. were able to chill most of the morning then we got ready and left for a nephew's 1st birthday party. When we left the party we went to the store and Mike got a hair cut and then went to Relay for Life for a few hours. Came home Mike cooked breakfast for supper (my fave) and we watched the end of the Spurs game. Now it is already so late and the rest of my family is asleep I will get bottles ready for tonight, the bag is ready for tomorrow and then get my loves (and myself) to bed! Enjoy your Sunday!

not too horrible

Well, Mikenna had her 2 month shots yesterday and didn't do too bad at the time! She cried of course, and it did hurt but it sure did aggravate her that Nurse Kitty held her legs down!!! As soon as I picked her up she was fine and went to sleep shortly after. The late afternoon and early evening were a little hard on us. I stayed home from Bible Study to keep her comfortable and also for me:)
When I finally laid down for bed (way way late) I just let it all out, I think I cried for close to an hour. I didn't want to go to sleep and as Mike held me tight he reminded me that "tomoorow will come weather you sleep or not". Finally i slept.
Mike's mom came to the house this morning and we left before Mikenna woke up. Not bad. I did cry a little when I got to the office and friends and mothers would give me hugs. Once I got to my campus and began seeing my kiddos, I was fine!
I got home a little before 4:30 and got my fix...I got my girl!
Not too bad, now I gotta do it again :)
